About Me
I am a graphic designer at a company in Seattle called Compendium. We design books, cards, journals, and other stationery for our own Compendium product lines as well as for private label and corporate clients. You've probably seen our products in stores without knowing it was designed and made by us. In my spare time I enjoy designing custom pieces that are not quite my company's cup of tea—like wedding invitations and birth announcements—as well doing design work for non-profits I believe in.

It feels great to be able to honestly say "I love what I do." Not a lot of people can say that and mean it. I love doodling. I love fiddling with colors, textures and layouts. Bad typography makes me furious. Good typography makes my day. Strong, clean design that doesn't rely on loads of doodads and embellishments makes me smile and say "ahhhh". A nice font makes me all tingly inside. I almost peed my pants when I discovered the gorgeous extra glyphs in Bickham Script. Funny, I never got that feeling when I finished college and ended up at PricewaterhouseCoopers. ("Holy cow! This income statement kicks ass!!! Auditing ROCKS!") Thankfully I escaped the world of balance sheets and pivot tables long ago, went to design school, and ended up where I am today—doing what I love.
